U.N. Petition for World Wide Gardens

2784372733_37fab73b6cFirst, it was the petition (or, plural, petitions, since I have seen several—some asking for donations to the “cause” scams?) to Barack Obama for a Victory Garden at the White House. No word on the success of any of them yet.
Now, a new petition to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, to help create sustainable small family-plot sized food-gardens all over the world by way of member nations dedicating unused, free government land for such purposes. I am all for more gardens everywhere in the world. But, if history is a gauge, I don’t think politicians listen to the people much (in their own country let alone the world) but it is worth a try…
