npgdIrrigation manufacturer and supplier Rain Bird and American Public Gardens Association (APGA) are sponsors of National Public Gardens Day across America. The national day of celebration’s goal is to raise awareness of public gardens in America and their important role in promoting environmental stewardship, plant and water conservation and education in communities nationwide.

watergardenPublic gardens are inspiration for many homeowners to apply to their own residential landscapes. Many creative ideas for gardens originate from public gardens.
National Public Gardens Day celebrates all public gardens, botanical gardens, educational gardens, specialty gardens, entertainment gardens, arobreta, farm gardens, historical landscapes, and zoos. Each garden participates in their own unique way. Contact the individual garden organization to find out what special activities are planned for celebrating the day (or in some places the whole weekend.)
