Science Alive 2002
The Future of Scholastic Hydroponicsby Tom Alexander

The 2002 Science Alive Conference, held in Tucson, Arizona, was a three-day vision into the future of teaching science-based studies in public schools. This was the second annual Science Alive event and was supported by the University of Arizona, Hydroponic Growers of Tucson, and Flowing Wells High School FFA. It was primarily organized by two teachers from Flowing Wells, Curt Bertelsen and Daniel Foster, and University of Arizona Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) Director Dr. Merle Jensen. The conference is designed to bring community members, educators, and students together in the common exploration of "making science come alive."
