Growing Notes: Aquaponics in the Classroom
Fourth graders have quite a bit of enthusiasm for animals and learning new things. When I received a $1,000 grant from the York County Alliance for Learning to purchase an aquaponic system, Scott Jones from Hydro/Aquatic Technologies designed an operation to meet our greenhouse needs at Shrewsbury Elementary School in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, part of the Southern York County School District.
