2nd Annual HMA Conference
Because the Second Annual Hydroponic Merchants’ Conference occurred so close to our deadline for sending this issue to press, we have a photo montage and short summary of the workshops and discussions. As with any conference, there was much merriment and hospitality sponsored by the vendors.
More than 240 people from around the world attended the conference, including major manufacturers and sales representatives, retailers, and interested individuals who plan on opening new stores in the future. Early Monday morning, I attended a behind-the-scenes tour of Disney’s Epcot Center. Epcot is the public’s most-visited hydroponic facility in the world. It shows everything from simple to complex hydroponic systems, as well as futuristic ideas such as remote camera sensing for diagnosing plant stress and pests.
