The New York Times is reporting that, “a federal judge has ruled that the government failed to adequately assess the environmental impacts of genetically engineered sugar beets before approving the crop for cultivation in the United States. The decision could lead to a ban on the planting of the beets, which have been widely adopted by farmers.”

Thanks for that, Judge!
Except to the companies selling this stuff, nothing good will come from this Frankencrap (crap / crop, see what I did there?)
Sugar won’t be cheaper, or better, farmers won’t get more money, they will make more sugar, yes, so the prices will drop and the farmers get less money. The soil is spoiled for years, possible health hazards, who wins?
