Got A Hangover—Try Some Asparagus To Ease The Pain

asparagusThe amino acids and minerals found in asparagus extract may alleviate alcohol hangover and protect liver cells against toxins, according to a study in the Journal of Food Science, published by the Institute of Food Technologists.
This news may come in handy for some garden writers meeting later in September at their annual symposium in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. Things get a little rowdy when garden writers get together. Omelets with asparagus may be the big breakfast hit at the hotel restaurant!
