As the vegetable gardening trend spreads across the country more each day, churches are becoming a fertile ground for community gardens.
In North Carolina, a network of community gardens called the Piedmont Interfaith Network of Gardens was formed to coordinate the community gardens that have been organized by churches.
Three North Carolina Churches that have offered land for community gardens are:
Anathoth Community Garden
Covenant Community Garden
Seagrove Community Garden

This is a great article. Thank you. People are “sticking to their God and their guns” in this tough economy. A lot of folks have too much pride for welfare and are really involved locally where I live, so the church and not the government does the outreach to those in need here.
