The first oak leaf lettuce, red romaine lettuce, speckled lettuce, fennel and rhubarb were harvested from the Obama’s White House vegetable garden and were served at dinner in the White House. Since it was organic, no one was poisioned by any pesticides, insecticides or herbicides and the Mid American CropLife Association was still upset.

Fennel and Rhubarb in under 100 days? I wonder, I wonder. If that was already planted years ago, how are they sure it’s organic?
I was wondering the same thing…but they say it is organic so it must be??? The politicians don’t lie to us, right???? ;>) Where are the Tilth certification people when you need them?
I’m guessing they had some pretty good sized transplants to allow for such quick turn-around….
