Excess Utah Lake Carp Helps Farmer Grow Crops

Carp were over populating Utah Lake and were threatening the endangered  june sucker fish. Over one million pounds of carp were removed from Utah Lake so the june sucker would have more of a chance at survival. The harvested carp were composted into a farmer’s fields and will help the farmer grow his crops.
