Climate May Protect San Joaquin Valley From Psyllids

OrangeTreeNew discoveries of Asian citrus psyllids are cause for heightened concern in California groves, but the San Joaquin Valley’s climate may help insulate it from the pest and the destructive disease it carries.
With sixty percent of homeowners in Southern California having citrus trees in their yards, the pest and the disease it carries has an impact on both the commerical and hobby growth of citrus in the Golden State.
My advice? Start firing up those aerated compost tea brewers and start applying aerated compost tea to both the leaves and the roots of citrus trees.
