Last week it was salmonella tainted green onions; so far this week, salmonella tainted melons. The farm, Melon Acres, Inc. has recalled melons distributed in Ohio and Michigan. No illnesses have been linked to the cantaloupe, according to the press release on the recall. From the Melon Acres, Inc. web site food safety page, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” But one salmonella recall can erase all the pictures and claims about food safety!
And it is only Monday! Need anymore reasons to grow your own food?
